FAQs

How do I sign-up for an event?
There is no pre-registration. Sign-up is on Saturday, at the venue, 11am-1pm.

How much is it to play?
The Open Division is $35 and the Amateur Division is $25.

Is there a membership or tour card fee?
No.

How long is an event?
All events are 2 days for both divisions. Play resumes Sunday at 1pm.

Is there a player auction?
Yes. The player auction for both divisions starts Saturday at 1pm and matches are called immediately thereafter.

How many places are paid?
Each division pays 1/4 of the field and auctions pay 1/8-1/16 depending on the amount in the auction purse.

How much is added per event?
$1,000.00

How long does play last each day?
This depends on the number of participants. Matches may run extremely late each day, so plan for an entire weekend of pool.

What are the races?
The Open Division is 9/7 and the Amateur Division is 7/5.

What are the rules?
The Tour uses "professional" rules; winner break, rack your own, 3-foul rule, and the 9-ball spots if made on break in the bottom two corner pockets.

Who is NOT considered an "amateur"?
Any professional, major event winner, or top player by any reasonable standards, is NOT considered an "amateur" on the Lone Star Tour.
